Join the Foundation for International Cooperation for a Short Trip to New York City

Sunday, December 13 to Thursday, December 17, 2009
Travel to New York City During the Winter Holidays?? Why not?

There will be time for you to enjoy tours of the city, Broadway shows and the Rockettes, art museums and interesting restaurants. We will visit the newly refurbished Statue of Liberty and
Ellis Island. You will enjoy a variety of dining experiences recommended by our contacts who live in New York.
Window shopping takes on a whole new meaning as Manhattan’s most celebrated department stores unveil their annual Holiday Windows. From Macy’s and Lord & Taylor to Bloomingdale’s and Barney’s, Christmas in New York City would not be complete without a visit to these windows decorated for the holidays. Each year Macy’s has windows depicting scenes from Miracle on 34th Street and a second set of windows with a changing holiday theme.

The Christmas tree that adorns Rockefeller Center is typically a Norway Spruce. Over five miles of lights are used to decorate the tree every year. Only the lights and the star decorate the tree.

Holiday markets in New York City offer shoppers a great opportunity to see lots of gift options quickly and easily. The festive atmosphere at these holiday markets in New York City can make holiday shopping fun rather than a chore and enable you to check off many people on your gift list with ease.

We will be staying a the legendary Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
The hotel is walking distance to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and the world-famous galleries and shopping of Fifth Avenue.

Cost is $1500 (Double Occupancy) Airfare will be on your own due to many who wish to use air miles and may be departing from different cities.

Included in the price will be:
Hotel accomodations - two double beds. All breakfasts and dinners
A Three Day Hop on, Hop off tour of the City
A tour to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
Transportation around town to enjoy its unique dining experiences

If you want to see Broadway shows your arrangements can be made in
advance or through the Waldorf’s Concierge Desk
