The Rockford Chapter includes 24 active member households,, and since some are couples, the actual number of members exceeds 30. Our members are from the Greater Rockford Area, and we welcome members from Northern Illinois, Southern Wisconsin and Eastern Iowa.
We have 4 educational, social and/or dinner meetings annually. This could include presentations of recent FIC tour experiences and travel experiences of our members and others. A recent meeting in 2008 was at a Fair Trade Store in Rockford which sells goods made by hand in third World countries at Fair Trade prices.
Summer always includes a pot-luck dinner and concert in the park.
In December we have an annual “Breads of the World” brunch to acquaint our members with delicacies from around the world. Our chapter also make contributions annually to other organizations that carry on projects to improve the conditions of impoverished people around the world
